Mike Levin Named to Israel U20 World Championship Team
NIAGARA, ON – IceDogs forward, Mike Levin, has been named to the Israel U20 World Championship team who is getting set to compete at the 2024 IIHF Hockey U20 World Championship Division III, Group A, in Bulgaria later this month.
Levin, a 2005 born forward who hails from Tel Aviv, Israel has enjoyed some success in his first full OHL season. In 39 games played this season, Levin has recorded 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points. After a slow a start to his campaign, the 5’10 forward has been finding his groove as of late, scoring 11 points in his last 10 games. Levin participated with Israel in last years tournament and produced 12 goals and 7 assists for 19 points in only 6 games played.
Levin and Team Israel will begin play on January 22nd with the tournament set to conclude on January 28th. Israel will compete against Mexico, Bulgaria, Turkey, New Zealand and Kyrgyzstan as they seek promotion with a gold medal.
