IceDogs Look to Build off Excited Crowd in Important Game 4
The IceDogs face a tough, but exciting situation tonight in game 4. Having falling in overtime Tuesday night, the ‘Dogs will be looking to bring the same intensity and energy tonight. They had their best outing of the postseason in a nail biter that was one bounce away from being a win. To be successful, the IceDogs will need to do much of the same and capitalize on the chances they are given.
An IceDog to keep an eye out for tonight is assistant captain, Aaron Haydon, who showed his jack of all trades abilities against the Petes. Haydon did it all, jumping into the rush, shut down the opposing teams top players, and defended his teammates. Having four playoff berth’s, prior to this postseason, worth of experience gives Haydon invaluable expertise that has, undoubtedly helped his younger teammates settle into the fast pace and grit that comes along with playoff hockey.
Of Haydon’s many tasks this post season, he has been tasked with the responsibility of containing some of the Petes’ most dynamic scorers. One of which being Tampa Bay prospect, Jonathan Ang. Playing in his third post season with the Petes, Ang has become the Petes’ go-to on the powerplay, averaging a point a game in the series. Haydon has done a solid job of eliminating Ang’s chances and that will need to continue heading into game 4.
