IceDogs Make Donation of $8742.40 To YMCA Niagara
NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs are proud to officially announce a donation of $8742.40 to YMCA Niagara following the St. Patrick’s Day specialty themed jersey auction.
As the General Manager of Marketing and Philanthropy, Jen Schmaltz, highlights, “The collaboration showcased by the IceDogs and YMCA of Niagara staff teams at the St. Patrick’s Day IceDogs game and Jersey Auction exemplified the spirit of ‘Igniting Potential Through Partnership.’ We were immensely grateful for the opportunity to be the Charity of Choice and for the overwhelming support received, which not only raised over $8k for our Stronger Together Campaign but also significantly elevated the visibility of our charitable mission. Our heartfelt thanks extend to the IceDogs organization for their incredible support, and let’s not forget Bones, whose presence added an extra layer of joy and enthusiasm to an already amazing experience.”
The IceDogs wore the specialty jerseys on Sunday, March 17th and saw themselves victorious in front of an energetic crowd of 4,512 fans at the Meridian Centre. Charlie Robertson led the way with a 30 save shutout and Captain, Gavin Bryant added two goals to defeat the Barrie Colts 3-0. It was announced prior to the game that the jerseys would be auctioned off live following the game, with all proceeds going YMCA Niagara.
