Final Score: BAR 5 – NIA 4 (SO)

It would be an eventful opening frame between the Colts and IceDogs as the two teams combined for three goals in the period. William Stewart would get the scoring started after he took an innocent looking shot from just inside the blueline and towards net before it would take a funny delfection and fly over the shoulder of Sam Hillebrandt. Mathieu Paris would then extend the lead to two after wiring on off the post in on an odd man rush. Paris would be playing in his 100th career OHL game, while collecting his 10th of the season with that goal. It would be the Colts who would strike next as they were able to one before the period ended to make it a one goal game. With 1:11 left in the frame, Riley Patterson knocked it home for his 28th of the year.
The IceDogs would begin the period on the right foot as Ivan Galiyanov would nab his 8th of the season off of a deflection to restore the two goal lead. The play would start with Callum Cheynowski as he skated around the net and found Mathieu Paris in the high slot who sent on net where Galiyanov would deflect it home. The Colts would respond five minutes later as both teams found themselves down a man. The Colts would eventually spring themselves on a 2-on-0, capitalizing to draw back within one. They weren’t done there as for the second straight period the Colts would score late goal. This time it was Grayson Tiller with the game tying goal from the point.
A quick response from the IceDogs after giving up the late second period goal. Masen Wray would use his heavy shot and beat Hillebrandt in the high slot just 1:26 into the period, putting the IceDogs back ahead. Sticking with the theme of the game, the Colts would have a response. Cole Beaudoin would come down the half wall and wire one over the shoulder of Robertson to once again even this contest back up. The two teams would stay even and head to overtime, which, would solve nothing, forcing a shootout. Cole Beaudoin would eventually score the shootout winner to give the Colts the extra point.
