IceDogs Acquire Cheynowski and Wray From Bulldogs
NIAGARA, ON – The Niagara IceDogs have acquired Callum Cheynowski and Masen Wray from the Brantford Bulldogs in exchange for overage and import defenceman, Daniil Sobolev.

Callum Cheynowski, a 2006 born defenceman from Welland, ON, has skated in 49 career OHL games with the Bulldogs since being drafted in the 3rd round, 63rd overall in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. The 6’1″ and 190 lbs Southern Tier Admirals product began his junior hockey career in the GOJHL with the Thorold Blackhawks in the 2022-2023 season and posted 16 points in 26 games played. He would then earn a call-up to the OHL where he played in 18 regular season games and 6 playoff games with the Bulldogs, ultimately recording a total of 7 points. This season in 25 games played, with the Bulldogs, Cheynowski has 5 assists.
Masen Wray, a 2006 born forward who hails from North Bay, ON played his minor hockey with the North Bay Trappers and posted 23 points in 23 games in his U16 season. This would eventually see him being drafted in the 2nd round, 49th overall in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection by the Bulldogs. In two seasons and 88 total games played with the Bulldogs, the young forward has posted a total of 13 points. Wray stands in at 6’3″ and 177 lbs.
