10 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE TONIGHT’S GAME

1) The IceDogs are in London to face the Knights for the first time this season, coming off a 4-3 defeat over Hamilton Thursday night.
2) The IceDogs come into this game riding a 6-game win streak.
3) Niagara will be missing Kyen Sopa (Switzerland), Daniel Bukac (Czech Republic) and Jason Robertson (United States) for tonight’s game, due to World Junior Hockey Championship selection camps.
4) Kirill Maksimov (10) ranks second in the league in powerplay goals scored this season, trailing Jason Robertson (13).
5) Starting goaltender Stephen Dhillon ranks 6th amongst all goalies in the league that have played at least 20 games this season, with a goals against average of 2.80, and save percentage of .914. Dhillon ranks 5th in the league with 16 wins this season.
6) The IceDogs have the 9th ranked away powerplay, with 19.4% efficiency, and the 18th ranked away penalty kill, with an 71.4% efficiency rating.
7) The Knights’ home power play ranks 15th with an 18.3% efficiency, while their away penalty kill is ranked 2nd with 89.1% efficiency.

Our next home game, and last before the Holiday Break, is our Ugly Christmas Sweater game on Saturday December 15th against the Oshawa Generals! The ‘Dogs will be wearing specialty jerseys. Post-game, the jerseys will be auctioned off by Luke’s Auctions in Section 105, with all proceeds going to Community Care.
There will be two donation drives at Saturday’s game! Community Care will be at all entrances before the game with barrels collecting non-perishable food items. Reliance Home Comfort will be doing their jacket drive on the concourse, where you can bring new or gently used winter jackets to their table.
Today, Community Care is hosting their big event at Zehrs Pen Centre and St. Catharines’ Market Square. From 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., they will be collecting monetary and food donations.
