GAME RECAP | IceDogs fall 3-2 to Generals in Game 6
In a pivotal Game 6 that would determine how much longer the IceDogs’ season lasted, Niagara came out onto the ice with no fear. While carrying much of the play in the opening frame, the IceDogs found themselves in the penalty box towards the end. The Generals took advantage of one penalty to carry a 1-0 lead into the 1st period break.
Ivan Lodnia got the IceDogs on the board 47 seconds into the second period with a wrist shot from the slot! The Generals came back to score 2 goals in the second period, to lead 3-1 heading into the 3rd period.
The big man, himself, Ivan Lodnia scored after being left all alone in the slot to bring the IceDogs within 1! The IceDogs continued to pepper the Oshawa goaltender with shots, totally 15 in the third period to desperately save the season. It just wasn’t meant to be this season. The Oshawa Generals won Game 6 by a score of 3-2, eliminated the IceDogs from the OHL Playoffs
We would like to thank our incredible fans for another exciting season! We can’t wait to have you cheering loud for us again in September!
