ANNOUNCEMENT | Maksimov signs ELC with Edmonton Oilers
The Niagara IceDogs are proud to announce that Kirill Makismov has signed an Entry-Level Contract with the Edmonton Oilers today!
After being acquired by the IceDogs in January 2017, through a trade with the Saginaw Spirit, Maksimov collected 22 points (15 goals, 7 assists), in 29 games, and 4 goals in the playoffs. Following a successful end to his first year of NHL Draft eligibility, Maksimov was drafted in the fifth round, 146th overall, to the Oilers in the 2017 NHL Draft.
General Manager, Joey Burke was thrilled to make the announcement, saying”There is nobody more deserving than Kirill. This is a great signing by Edmonton, and a great honour for Kirill to be signed by such a legendary organization. It’s a true testament to the great play he brings night in and night out. We couldn’t be happier for him.”
The entire Niagara IceDogs organization is thrilled to congratulate Kirill on this significant achievement!
