The Weekend’s Not Over, Until it’s Over
Tonight, your IceDogs return home to play the Guelph Storm (3-3-1-1) to finish off their three game weekend. The IceDogs are looking to find some success building off of the positives from last night’s solid effort, and snap a losing streak. Whereas, the Storm are looking to continue their success after winning last night.
Storm’s second year player, Daniil Chayka, has 3 goals and 7 points in 8 games played. In the past two years, Chayka has won an OHL cup, World U17 Championship, OHL Championship, and the Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Due to size and offensive ability, Chayka will be a player for the ‘Dogs to keep an eye on.
Despite having a negative +/-, Elijah Roberts has been showing leadership on the blueline. Elijah has been guiding the way for defensive partner Isaac Enright and has been playing big minutes, including power play time. Last night on the powerplay Elijah collected his fourth assist of the season. His speed turns heads and can change the momentum of the game towards the IceDogs in one shift. Don’t blink or you’ll miss him.
Make your way down to the Meridian Center tonight to cheer on your IceDogs!
