SIGNED- McCann inks entry-level contract with Canucks
Earlier today, Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced that the NHL club has signed centre JARED MCCANN to an entry-level contract with the club.
The London, ON product was selected in the 1st Round (24th overall) of this past June’s NHL Entry Draft by the Canucks.

“All of our players are working towards earning an NHL contract and to see Jared accomplish that makes us very happy as an organization and we are thrilled for him and his family” began Greyhounds Head Coach Sheldon Keefe.
“In the event Jared is returned to us for another season or two, he will once again be a big part of our team and we will work with him and the Canucks to continue the process of developing him into an NHL player” added Keefe.
In two seasons with the Hounds so far, McCann has posted 48 goals and 58 assist (106 points) in 128 career regular season games played. He has added 7 points in 10 post-season contests.
His 62 points in the 2013-14 season were third best among all skaters with the Hounds.
Back in May, McCann was a member of Team Canada’s U18 team who captured a bronze medal at the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
