1st Round Selection, Salinitri, commits to Greyhounds
The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Program is pleased to announce today the commitment from 2014 1st Round draft pick ANTHONY SALINITRI.

The Windsor, ON product was the 17th overall selection in this past April’s OHL Priority Selection.
“We are excited to welcome the Salinitri family to the Program, and look forward to working with Anthony as he continues to pursue his goals in the classroom and on the ice” stated Hounds’ Head Coach Sheldon Keefe.
The 5.10, 153-lb centreman is currently among 96 skaters participating in the Canadian National Under-17 Development camp taking place in Calgary, ALTA.

Earlier this summer, Anthony was one of four members of the Hounds 2014 draft class to capture a bronze medal as part of Team Alliance at the OHL U16 cup.
In 5 games played he had 1 goal and 4 assists at that tournament.
One season ago (2013-14) he played with the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Minor Midgets where he posted 23 goals and 17 assists, good for 40 points in the regular season before adding 5 points in the post-season.
He was the Alliance Player of the Year for his efforts with the Jr. Spitfires while at the OHL Draft Combine, he excelled while ranking among the top three forwards in the off-ice portion.
Anthony will be among an expected 40+ players at the Hounds 2014 Training Camp to take place from August 26th through 29th.
