Hounds Lose to Wolves
An outstanding goaltending performance by rookie Patrick Ehelechner enabled the Sudbury Wolves to beat the Soo Greyhounds 2-0 Tuesday night in the Nickel City. Ehelchner, the game's first star mad 31 saves in recording his third shutout of the season. Bobby Chaumont and Sean Langdon had the only goals of the game. Chaumount scored 16 seconds into the opening period while Langdon scored an empty-netter in the third. The Hounds outshot the Wolves 31-26. Kevin Druce was solid in the Hounds net and was named third star of the game while Wolves defenceman Marc Staal, with an assist was second star.
It was the Wolves first win over the Hounds in 2 meetings this season. .The loss drops the Soo's record to 15-11-1-1. The Hounds return to action Friday evening when they host the Brampton Battlion. Game time at the Memorial Gardens is 7:30 p.m.
