Rights to Harrison Ballard acquired by Greyhounds

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON-

Soo Greyhounds General Manager announced a trade this afternoon acquiring the rights to HARRISON BALLARD from the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange of a conditional 15th Round Selection in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection.

During last season (2021-22), the 6.02, 181lb forward played in 54 games for the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL where he recorded an even 14 goals and 14 assists (28 points).

He had previously captained the York Simcoe Express U16 AAA during his OHL draft year (2019-20) where he had 39 points in 36 games played.

The 18-year old dual citizen was originally selected by Kingston in the 8th Round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection.

Ballard is expected to be among one of the attendee’s at the Greyhounds training camp which opens next week.
