Four Greyhounds in NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings
NHL Central Scouting released its final rankings earlier today and four (4) members of the Soo Greyhounds were among those who appeared.
2020 1st Round Selection Bryce McConnell-Barker was the highest rated Hound appearing at the 34th spot for North American skaters (previously 28th at Midterm Rankings).
After a 49-point regular season, the London ON product is averaging just shy of a point-per-game in the 2022 OHL Playoffs with 1G, 3A in 5GP.
Defenceman Kirill Kudryavtsev was rated 108th among North American Skaters after previously appearing at the 103rd spot in the Midterm Rankings.
A native of Yaroslavl, Russia, Kirill has appeared in all 68 regular season and all 5 post-season games for the Hounds.
In a total of 73 games played he has 5G, 36A.
Fellow defenceman Caeden Carlisle joins the list for the first time and slots in the 223rd spot for North American Skaters.
The first-year Hound was originally selected by the Program in the 5th Round of the 2022 OHL Priority Selection.
While the fourth Greyhounds to make the rankings was netminder Charlie Schenkel who goes from 12th (Midterm Rankings) to 17th in today’s announcement for North American Goaltenders.
After appearing in 7 regular season games for the Hounds in 2021-22, Schenkel recently re-joined the team after an 8-game stint with the Rockland Nationals Junior A Hockey Club.
All four Hounds will be among those who’ll wait for the results of the 2022 NHL Draft which takes place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, QUE July 7-8, 2022.
