Ryan Gagnier Commits to Generals
Oshawa, ON– The Oshawa Generals announced today that forward Ryan Gagnier has committed to an Ontario Hockey League standard player agreement with the team.
The Tecumseh, ON native was a 3rd round selection by the Generals in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection. This season, Gagnier, has played for the Leamington Flyers of the GOJHL, seeing action in 47 games amassing 20 goals and 47 assists in his first season with the team.
“We are very excited to get Ryan to commit to his OHL future with the Generals” stated Vice President and General Manager, Roger Hunt on the commitment. “Ryan has done exactly what we asked of him this season. He’s gotten a lot of ice time (in Leamington) and furthered his development so he will be OHL ready and we will see him in a Generals jersey before the season ends.”
The 5’11, 176-pound forward participated in the Generals orientation camp last April and main training camp at the end of August.
Gagnier is the now the fifth player from the 2018 draft class to commit to the Generals.
