Roger Hunt joined the Oshawa Generals coaching staff in May 2010 as assistant coach and director of player development. In 2012, Hunt was promoted to assistant coach and assistant general manager before taking over duties as general manager in 2014. Hunt also had the pleasure of coaching Team Ontario U17 as assistant coach for two years and head coach for one year. In these roles, Hunt coached players including Connor McDavid, Aaron Ekblad, Sam Bennett, Bo Horvat, Cole Cassels, Michael Dal Colle, Mitchell Vande Sompel, and Sam Harding, to name a few. Following the 2015 Memorial Cup Championship win, Hunt fulfilled the role as Vice-President, which allows him to oversee the front office operations, while maintaining his role on the hockey side as General Manager.
