Congratulations to Eric Lindros!
Eric Lindros will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame this fall.
Lindros, won the Hart Trophy as the NHL’s most valuable player in 1995, led the Flyers to the 1997 Stanley Cup Final, and he was part of Oshawa Generals history, leading the 1990 team to becoming Memorial Cup champions.
The London, Ont., native was the NHL’s first overall draft pick in 1991. He represented Canada at three World Junior Championships, winning gold in 1990 and 1991. Lindros played 95 games in the OHL scoring a total of 97 points in the regular season.
Lindros is a proud supporter and is heavily involved with Easter Seals Ontario. Who provide programs and services to children and youth with physical disabilities across Ontario to help them achieve greater independence, accessibility and integration.
The Oshawa Generals retired number 88 on March 6th 2008.He was inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame in 2012 and was later inducted to the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame on May 25 2016.
The 2016 induction celebration will be held Nov. 14 at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
