Ryder McIntyre traded to Peterborough
Oshawa, Ont., – The Oshawa Generals announce they have traded right-winger Ryder McIntyre to the Peterborough Petes. In exchange, the Generals will receive a 6th round pick in 2027.
McIntyre, from Stouffville, Ont., was drafted by the Sarnia Sting with the 51st overall pick in the 3rd round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection. McIntyre spent parts of two seasons with the Sting, In 63 career games with Sarnia he scored four goals and five assists for 9 points.
McIntyre was traded to the Generals at the beginning of the 2022-2023 season, in exchange for an 8th round selection and now Sting Captain, Cooper Way. In 70 career games with the Generals, McIntyre improved in every offensive category, scoring nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in a Generals jersey.
In 2023 McIntyre was named one of the Generals’ alternate captains and has since battled back from a leg injury that made him miss 10 games.
