The Oshawa Generals Hockey Club is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented and responsible individual to join our team. This job will expose the successful candidate to first-hand training in working in a fast-paced sports minded environment as well as the experience of working with one of the CHL’s most historic franchises.
Description of Organization
The Oshawa Generals Hockey Club is a member of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and Canadian Hockey League. Established in 1937, the Oshawa Generals are an integral part of the Oshawa and Durham Region community The positive development of hockey players both on and off the ice is our focus, giving the players outstanding facilities and coaches to master their craft while being key members of the community. A winning attitude runs deep within the Generals organization having won 13 OHL Championships and 5 Memorial Cups.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Work under the directions of the Manager of Community Relations and Merchandising
- Attend all 34 Oshawa Generals home games which are frequently on evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- Motivated, diligent, and detail-oriented, with outstanding customer service skills
- Math and money handling skills
- Handle a variety of tasks and work efficiently and effectively during busy periods
- Work summer weekends attending the Oshawa Generals Summer “Road Tour” throughout the Durham Region
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions with attention to detail
- Proven initiative and accountability
- Strong communication skills
- Must be available to work all game-days
- Ability to take direction and feedback
- Valid G2 Driver’s License, access to a vehicle
