BULLDOGS PROSPECT ATTENDS HOCKEY CANADA’S GOALIE CAMP
A Hamilton Bulldogs draft pick was selected to take part in the 12th annual Hockey Canada Program of Excellence goaltending camp.
Zach Roy was among 30 goaltenders to take part in the camp at the Markin MacPhail Centre at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary this past weekend.
It brought together some of the country’s top goaltending talent with elite-level instructors from across North America. 12th Annual Hockey Canada Program of Excellence Goaltending Camp 12th Annual Hockey Canada Program of Excellence Goaltending CampThe camp is the initial evaluation stage for summer development and selection camps in the under-17, under-18 and under-20 levels.
“For the past 11 years, this goaltending camp has allowed us to monitor, evaluate and continue to develop elite-level players in a short amount of time,” said Scott Salmond, Hockey Canada’s vice-president of hockey operations and men’s national teams.
Roy was drafted by the Bulldogs in the 4th round (71st overall) of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection.
