67’s face ugly challenge, hosting Spitfires
OTTAWA, ON – After shutting down the Oshawa Generals on the road, the Ottawa 67’s return home to host the Windsor Spitfires on Sunday at 3 PM for their Ugly Christmas Sweater theme game. Fans can tune in to the game on Rogers TV, Flo Hockey or listen to TSN 1200 for play-by-play from Kenny Walls.
It’d be safe to assume a good night from Cooper Foster, who has been on fire as of late with nine points in his last five games. Filip Ekberg is also coming off a highlight reel goal in Friday’s game against Oshawa.
The Spitfires will be without a former NHL first-rounder in Liam Greentree and Chicago Blackhawks prospect AJ Spellacy, as they’ll be attending Team Canada and Team USA camps, respectively.
Despite missing two key players, the Spitfires remain a tough team. They sit third in the Western Conference, and still feature first-rounder Jack Nesbitt and potential 2026 first-rounder Ethan Belchetz. Furthermore, the Spitfires will still have the top point-producing defense pair in Anthony Cristoforo and the team’s point-leader, Carson Woodall, who scored both goals in the 67’s and Spitfires’ last game. It will be integral for the 67’s to shut down the Spitfires’ offense, something that the 67’s were able to do in their last meeting, shutting the Spitfires down to just 22 shots.
Fans attending can treat themselves to the Fan First Menu, featuring various snacks and treats for $3 to $5.
