Official SUBWAY® Training Day Contest Underway
TORONTO, October 1, 2014 – Amateur hockey teams from across Canada once again have the opportunity to win the ultimate team experience with the launch of the Official SUBWAY® Training Day contest. Now in its second year, the Official SUBWAY® Training Day contest is hosted by SUBWAY® Canada, the Official Training Restaurant of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), and will provide three lucky hockey teams with an opportunity to train with a CHL team.
SUBWAY® Restaurants are giving amateur hockey players a first-hand experience in what a day as a CHL player is like by bringing them to the action. Three winning teams – one from each regional CHL league (WHL, OHL, QMJHL) – will receive on-ice instruction with CHL players and coaching staff as part of the Training Day. The winner’s team will also receive SUBWAY® swag bags, off-ice training, and a catered SUBWAY® lunch.
“At SUBWAY® Restaurants we are always looking to support local athletes and help Canadians choose healthy active lifestyles,” says Kathleen Bell, director of national marketing for SUBWAY® Canada. “We were thrilled with the amount of interest the Official SUBWAY® Training Day Contest received last year and, as the Official Training Restaurant of the CHL, we see this as the perfect opportunity to work with our CHL partners to continue to reward hardworking local hockey teams with a truly unique training experience from SUBWAY® Restaurants.”
To enter, visit the SUBWAY® Canada website (http://www.subway.com) and share how your team incorporates SUBWAY® restaurants into your hockey training programs.
This contest is being executed by Veritas Communications, and is being supported through SUBWAY® and its partner networks as well as the CHL and its partners. It will also be promoted through SUBWAY® Canada and CHL digital and social media platforms.
The contest will run until from October 1, 2014 to November 30, 2014.
