Wildcats sign Roger Shannon to a new three-year contract
The Moncton Wildcats have extended Roger Shannon’s contract an additional three years. Mr. Shannon has been Director of Hockey Operations for the past three seasons after joining the team as Head Scout in 2012.
“The Moncton Wildcats are pleased Roger Shannon will continue to lead our hockey operations,” said Moncton Wildcats President Robert K. Irving. “Over the past four seasons, Roger’s dedication and determination have proven successful. He and his entire scouting team work year round to ensure we have the best talent on the ice as evidenced by back-to-back Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) semifinal appearances for the first time in franchise history. We look forward to continued success together.”
“I am excited for the future of our team,” said Roger Shannon. “I want to thank all of the people who are part of our great staff. They have helped me put together a group of young men who are willing to do what it takes to compete every night and provide excitement for our fans. Our vision remains the same – to bring a Memorial Cup to Moncton.”
The Moncton Wildcats had another great season and an exciting playoff run. With the QMJHL draft coming up on June 4th in Charlottetown, the hockey operations staff and scouts have been busy.
