Timashov provides spark
Dymtro Timashov ignited the Remparts’ offence with a one-goal and three-assist performance, leading his team to a 5-1 victory over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.
Adam Erne broke the ice in the opening frame when he received a nice feed from Dmytro Timashov and streaked to the net before sliding the puck between Jullio Billia’s pads.
The visitors tied the game when Alexandre Ranger beat Callum Booth with a shot from the corner but the Remparts regained the lead on a power-play goal by Zachery Moody, on a rebound. Ryan Graves then used his best weapon, a hard slap shot, to score his 14th goal of the season.
The Remparts’ domination continued in the third, with goals by Dmytro Timashov and Marcus Cuomo.
Philippe Boucher’s men hit the road for their next three games, starting Thursday in Victoriaville against the Tigres, at 7:00 p.m.
