Several blockbuster trades made on deadline day
BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, January 7, 2010 Several President Cup hopefuls made huge deals this morning to put the finishing touches on their rosters for the stretch run.
The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles sent Éric Gélinas (91-05-08), a first round pick in 2010 and a second round pick in 2011 to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens for Jacob Lagacé (90-01-09).
The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies acquired Jordan Caron (90-11-02) and Patrice Cormier (90-06-14) from the Rimouski Océanic. In return, the Océanic landed Michael Beaudry (92-04-25), Alexandre Mallet (92-05-22), two first round picks in 2010 and first and second round picks in 2012. The Huskies also acquired Steven Delisle (90-07-30) and a sixth round pick in 2010 from the Gatineau Olympiques for Ben Miller (91-03-02), a third round pick in 2010 and second and third round selections in 2011. The Huskies sent Jordan Durand (93-05-31) to the Shawinigan Cataractes for Antoine Quévillon (91-11-29) and a sixth round pick in 2010. Finally, they traded Jérôme Côté (90-04-13) to the Remparts for a sixth round pick in 2011.
The Moncton Wildcats acquired Kelsey Tessier (90-01-16) from the Quebec Remparts for Matthew Brown (91-02-24) and Louis Domingue (92-03-06).
The Chicoutimi Saguenéens traded Matthew Bissonnette (92-01-16) to the Lewiston MAINEiacs for first, third and fifth round picks in 2010. The MAINEiacs sent Alexander Beaton (90-05-06) and a seventh round pick in 2011 to the Olympiques for a third round selection in 2010.
The Acadie-Bathurst Titan traded Derek Famulare (89-12-22) to the P.E.I. Rocket for a seventh round pick in 2010. The Titan also acquired Danny Chiasson (92-09-23) from the Océanic for a tenth round pick in 2011. The Rocket sent Bradley MacDonald (92-06-14) to the Mooseheads for Guillaume Pelletier (91-02-09).
The Océanic sent Nicholas Samoluk (91-11-27) to the Remparts for a seventh round pick in 2011.
The Val-d’Or Foreurs flipped Dylan C.-Capstick (92-12-24) to the Rocket for a fourth round pick in 2011. The Foreurs also acquired Mathieu Leduc (90-12-28) and Youssef Kabbaj (91-12-26) from the Screaming Eagles for second and fifth round picks in 2010.
The Mooseheads acquired Peter Delmas (90-02-16) from the Remparts for a sixth round pick in 2011. Moreover, the Remparts sent Samuel Groulx (90-06-28) to the Tigres for Olivier Hinse (91-03-02), Patrick Doré (92-04-26) and a second round pick in 2012.
The Montreal Juniors sent Marc-André Levasseur (92-03-04) to the Chicoutimi Saguenéens for a third round pick in 2010.
