QMJHL Roundup: Blais leads Islanders past Drakkar in shortened game
CHARLOTTETOWN — Samuel Blais scored a hat trick and added an assist as the Charlottetown Islanders downed the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5-2 on Friday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The game was suspended at 15:30 of the third period due to unsafe ice conditions. The QMJHL awarded the win to Charlottetown shortly after.
Jake Coughler and Daniel Sprong both had a goal and an assist while Kameron Kielly and Filip Chlapik tacked on two helpers each for the Islanders (24-24-7).
Jamey Lauzon and Eric Leger found the back of the net for Baie-Comeau (8-40-3).
Matthew Welsh turned aside 16 shots for the win as Antoine Samuel made 28 saves in defeat.
Charlottetown converted twice on four power plays with the Drakkar going 0 for 2 on the man advantage.

BATHURST, N.B. — Nicolas Roy’s power-play goal at 1:01 of the second was one of three in the period for Chicoutimi as it beat the Titan.
Nicolas Guay and Timothe Simard also chipped in during the second for the Sagueneens (24-20-8). Taylor Cooper had a goal early in the first while Landon Schiller added an empty-netter in the third.
Jason Bell and Jeffrey Truchon-Viel scored for Acadie-Bathurst (20-27-5).

Kevin Resop kicked out 30 shots for the Mooseheads (17-32-6).

GATINEAU, Que. — Yakov Trenin had a goal and two assists as the Olympiques routed Quebec in the 3,000th regular season game in the history of the Hull/Gatineau franchise.
Yan Pavel Laplante, Vitalii Abramov, Alex Dostie, Tristen Elie and Samuel Tremblay supplied the rest of the offence for the Olympiques (36-15-3).
Derek Gentile scored on the power play for the Remparts (24-24-5).

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Alex Barre-Boulet scored the only goal in the shootout and Michael Carcone had a pair of goals in regulation as the Voltigeurs slipped past Rouyn-Noranda.
Gabriel Slight and Frederic Aube also chipped in for Drummondville (24-28-2) in regulation. Joey Ratelle and Barre-Boulet each had two assists.
Gabriel Fontaine, Martins Dzierkals, Nikolas Brouillard and Francis Perron had goals for the Huskies (40-8-5).
