QMJHL Roundup: Ayotte scores winner, Tigres edge Phoenix 3-2 in overtime
VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Mathieu Ayotte scored his second goal at 2:19 of overtime as the Victoriaville Tigres slipped past the visiting Sherbrooke Phoenix 3-2 on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Joey Sansoni also scored for the Tigres (21-17-7), who got a 32-save performance from Olivier Tremblay.
Chase Harwell and Guillaume Gauthier supplied the offence for the Phoenix (16-23-7). Evan Fitzpatrick kicked out 25-of-28 shots in defeat.
Victoriaville’s Bradley Lalonde was the only player to be handed a penalty all game — interference on the goaltender at 17:42 of the first. Sherbrooke failed to capitalize on the game’s only power-play opportunity.

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Matt Jones scored once and set up another as the Drakkar snapped a three-game slide with a win over Rimouski.
Antoine Samuel made 30 saves for Baie-Comeau (8-33-5), which also got goals from Jamey Lauzon and Raphael Santerre.
Raphael Bastille found the back of the net for the Oceanic (25-16-4). Louis-Phillip Guindon stopped 29-of-32 shots in a losing cause.
