Patrick Charbonneau confirmed as Director of Central Scouting
BOUCHERVILLE, Friday, March 21, 2008 The Commissioner of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Gilles Courteau, today announced that Patrick Charbonneau will take over the role of Director of Central Scouting (CSR) beginning next season.
"With the transfer of Pierre Leduc to our hockey operations department, it was important to find an individual who already possessed extensive knowledge of the QMJHL and the minor league system. The ideal candidate to fill this role is Patrick Charbonneau," said the Commissioner.
Patrick will be assisted by Alain Charbonneau, who will take over the duties of Coordinator of the Quebec-Atlantic territory.
Of note, both Patrick and Alain have been a part of the CSR team for several years. The CSR is a dynamic group, which provides a valuable service to the QMJHL’s eighteen member clubs.
