Moose lose 4-1 in Saint John
The Mooseheads gave the Sea Dogs a good push but it wasn’t enough to knock off the Nation’s #1 team in Canada Tuesday night in Saint John. The Mooseheads got off to a good start, but failed to take advantage of 3 powerplays in the opening 10 minutes which may have gave the game a different outlook. The Dogs on the other hand were able to capitalize on 2 of their 3 powerplays, while the Moose were 0 for 5 with the man advantage. The Dogs led 1-0 after 1 and 3-0 after 2 periods, before Matthew Boudreau broke Mathieu Corbeil’s bid for his first QMJHL shutout when he slid his 9th of the season past Corbeil early in the 3rd. Assists went to Konrad Abeltshauser and Marty Frk. The Dogs outshot the Moose 36-23. Anthony Terenzio took the loss in goal while playing solid making 32 saves.
The Moose now will return home before travelling to Sydney again this weekend for another tilt with the Screaming Eagles on Saturday night at 7. Join John Moore on News 95.7 for the call of all the action.
