MONCTON WILDCATS TRADE MOVES WITH WORLD FAMOUS HARLEM GLOBETROTTER
Harlem Globetrotters world famous dribbler Blenda Rodriguez and Moncton Wildcats stars Allain and Alex Saulnier traded expertise Friday afternoon as they each showed one another how they have become so successful in their respective sports.
Rodriguez who is in Moncton preparing for the Globetrotters game at the Moncton Coliseum tomorrow at 7pm took to the ice to learn how to shoot and pass a hockey puck from the Wildcats stars. Even on ice Rodriguez showed off his skills as he taught the Saulnier twins how to spin a basketball on the blade of a hockey stick.
The group then moved to the Coliseum to shoot the ball around on the basketball court set up for tomorrow’s game. Rodriguez showed the Saulniers a couple of trick shots. There is definitely a career for both Alex and Allain with the Globetrotters as they were quick to catch on. Following the shoot around Rodriguez showed of the skills that have made him world famous, his dribbling. Rodriguez taught the twins a few simple moves then proceeded to show off his skills by putting on a dribbling show for upwards to a minute. Rodriguez capped the afternoon off by draining a half court behind the back shot. It was certainly a fun filled afternoon for everyone involved.
The Wildcats would like to thank the Harlem Globetrotters for donating tickets to the Moncton Boys & Girls Club.
