Interview with forward Brett Morrison of the Gatineau Olympiques
BOUCHERVILLE, Saturday, November 25, 2006 This week, the official website of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League presents an interview with Gatineau Olympiques forward Brett Morrison.
What were the goals that the coaching staff underlined prior to the start of the season?
"Well, the coaching staff didn’t want to put the bar up too high, so we didn't go over any specifics. But, they have kept on us to exceed expectations."
It’s your third season in the League and you’ve enjoyed a great start. Any specific reasons why?
"I’ve worked hard with the coaches to improve over the past two seasons. They’ve been a big help, and experience is definitely a big factor. Also, it helps to play on a line with Claude (Giroux) and Viatcheslav (Trukhno)."
What do you think is the team’s biggest weakness?
"I think we’re pretty good from top to bottom, but we tend to get off to slow starts in some games. We usually rebound quickly enough though."
What do the coaches do between periods to motivate you?
"We generally go over the game plan and make adjustments. The coaching staff lets us know what we need to correct to be successful."
