Importants Sponsors will again support the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League

MONTRÉAL, Tuesday September 14th Mr Gilles Courteau, Commissionner of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, is proud to have the support, again this year, of many very important sponsors.

For a second year in a row, Telus will join the QMJHL as its Major Partner.

« We are very happy to welcome Telus for a second year in a row within the large family of sponsors at the League, said M. Courteau, during the press conference launching the LHJMQ’s 36th season.

« Telus is a leader among telecommunication in the country, also reminded Mr Courteau. Telus offers a complete array of products and services, including the vocal call and data transmission services, the Web and the wireless services throughout Canada. »

M. Courteau was also happy to announce a new partnership with Firethorn, a Canadian company specialized in golf-wear.

Thanks to this partnership, fans of the QMJHL will be able, shortly, to buy promotional golf-wear in the colors of all 16 teams, by clicking directly on the League’s official Website (www.lhjmq.qc.ca).

« This partnership is even more precious to us, noted Mr Courteau, because Firethorn will give 5% of every sale of the League products to the QMJHL Scolarship Fund. »

Also, Air Canada joins the Quebec Major Junior Hockey through a partnership with The Ontario Hockey League and the Western Hockey League.

Many of the more faithful partners of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League over the years are back in 2004-05. This list includes Via Rail, Hospitality Westmount Group (Comfort Inn, Quality Suites et Quality Hotels), Home Hardware, Master Card, Canada Post and Pentair Tools, in the Atlantic Provinces.
