Foreurs President Louis Blanchette resigns

VAL-D’OR, Monday, April 7, 2008 – Louis Blanchette, the President of the Val-d’Or Foreurs, stepped down today following a press conference. He had presided over the team since August 2004. He will be replaced by Gilles Brisson.

Louis Blanchette was an integral part of the team’s financial resurgence and he presided over the 2006-07 edition, which earned a berth in the President Cup final.

Before being promoted, Gilles Brisson was the Marketing Vice-President.of the Val-d’Or Foreurs Hockey Club since 2006.
