Eagles Lose 4-1 To Titan

SYDNEY, N.S. – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles had their two-game winning streak snapped on Sunday afternoon losing 4-1 to the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in front of 2,580 fans on hand at Centre 200.
Robert Pelletier, Vytal Côté, Scott Oke and Alexandros Soumakis each scored goals for the Titan, who improve to 11-14-1-1 on the season.
Loic Leduc had the lone goal for the Screaming Eagles, who fall to 13-11-0-3 on the year. Cape Breton remains tied for second in the Telus Maritimes Division with the Charlottetown Islanders.
Acadie-Bathurst got the scoring started at 2:41 of the first period as Robert Pelletier buried his third goal of the season beating Screaming Eagles goaltender Chase Marchand shorthanded, Adam Chapman had the lone assist on the goal.
The Screaming Eagles tied the game as William Carrier found Loic Leduc sneaking in from the point, he would make no mistake for his third goal of the season at 7:12 of the opening frame, Carrier and Maxim Lazarev were given the helpers on the goal.
The Titan regained the lead at 13:02 of the first period as Vytal Côté notched his first goal of the season, Pelletier and Chapman added the assists.
Scott Oke gave Acadie-Bathurst a 3-1 lead at 18:15 of the second period as he fired home his 10th goal of the season, Patrick Walsh and Adam Stevens picked up the helpers.
Acadie-Bathurst secured the victory as Alexandros Soumakis scored his 10th goal of the season into an empty net at 19:06 of the third period, Walsh had the only assist on the goal.
Jacob Brennan made 29 saves in the win for Acadie-Bathurst, his record improves to 9-11-0-0, while Marchand turned aside 26 of 29 shots in the loss for Cape Breton, his record falls to 4-3-0-0.
The Screaming Eagles return to the ice on Friday, November 29th, 2013, when they host the Halifax Mooseheads. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at Centre 200. Tickets are available at the Centre 200 Box Office or online at tickets.capebreton.ca.

Girl Guides Day: The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles held their 12th annual Girl Guides Day at the nest on Sunday.
Pelletier Leaves Game: Acadie-Bathurst Titan forward Robert Pelletier left Sunday’s game during the third period. Pelletier had a goal and an assist in the contest.

Cape Breton went 0/4 on the power play, while Acadie-Bathurst also went 0/4.
