Audy-Marchessault, Ouellet and Filippi named TELUS three stars of the month
BOUCHERVILLE, Friday, October 1, 2010 – The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League today unveiled the TELUS three stars of the month for September.
The first star is awarded to Quebec Remparts forward Jonathan Audy-Marchessault. The 20 year-old sniper has been on quite a tear over the last few weeks, scoring five goals and adding eleven assists in only six games. Moreover, he posted a sensational +13 rating over that span. Audy-Marchessault enjoyed a few incredible outings, recording 6 and 7 points in two separate contests.
The second star goes to 17 year-old Montreal Juniors defenseman Xavier Ouellet. In six games, the blue-liner registered one goal and eleven assists while posting a +3 rating. The Terrebonne native is already within striking distance of his scoring output from last season in which he tallied sixteen points in forty-three games. Of note, the Juniors have lost only one game in regulation time this season.
The third star is handed to Quebec Remparts forward Tomas Filippi. The young rookie is off to an electrifying start to his Quebec Major Junior Hockey League career after scoring eight goals – more than any other player during September – and adding three assists in six games. Furthermore, he posted a +11 rating. The Remparts have only lost one game so far this season, a shootout loss at the hands of the Val-d’Or Foreurs.
