Alex Belzile, Nicholas Champion and Cory MacIntosh named TELUS three stars of the week
BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, November 22nd, 2010 – Fowards Alex Belzile and Cory MacIntosh, and goaltender Nicholas Champion were named, today, the TELUS three stars of the week from November 15th to November 21st.
Alex Belzile is the TELUS first star of the week. The Rimouski Océanic forward registered two goals and five helpers for a total of seven points, while keeping a +6 rating in two games. He played a big part in both Océanic wins this week, earning first star honours in each contest.
The Lewiston MAINEiacs backstop is this week’s second star after he helped his team collect two wins in three games with stellar performances against the Quebec Remparts and the Shawinigan Cataractes. He finished the week with a 1,94 goals-against-average and .940 save percentage by stopping 63 of the 67 shots he faced. He was named the second and third stars on Friday and Saturday respectively. Of note, Lewiston was on the road last weekend for three games.
Cape Breton Screaming Eagles winger Cory MacIntosh is the third star following two imressive games in two days by collecting three goals and four assists for a total of seven points. He was named the second star on Thursday and the third star on Friday.
