A first win for the Olympiques at the Memorial Cup Tournament
The Gatineau Olympiques started the Memorial Cup tournament Sunday afternoon and won their first game 3-1 against the Western Hockey League Champions, the Medicine Hat Tigers. The game has been played in front of 6,153 spectators at the Prospera Place in Kelowna (BC).
The winning goaltender of this game, David Tremblay, registred 24 saves, as the Tigers lead 25-19 in the number of shots.
The goals fo the QMJHL champions have been scored by Dominic D’Amour, Francis Wathier and Maxime Talbot.
The next game of the tournament for the Olympiques will be played Monday May 17 at 8:00pm (Eastern Time) or 5:00 pm local time.
