Suspensions in the QMJHL
The Québec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect, Mr Maurice Filion, announced this afternoon two suspensions following the game between the Screaming Eagles and the Wildcats on Friday, January 3rd.
During the game, while the Wildcats were in Cape Breton, the Screaming Eagles’ trainer Jason Price got a penalty code 4-99 for being on the ice while he was not allowed. The player George Davis, who was traded to the Halifax Mooseheads, also got a penalty code 4-99 for jostled a linesman and for trying to attack the players on the Wildcats’ bench.
After reading the report of the referee and watching the videotape of the game, Maurice Filion imposed a suspension of five (5) games to George Davis and a suspension of two (2) games to Jason Price.
The suspension is effective today, Friday January 10, 2003.
