8 players of the QMJHL invited to Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp
QMJHL – The Canadian Hockey Association and the Canadian Hockey League announced today via a press conference the roster of 34 players who are invited to Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp. The roster featured 8 players from the QMJHL. The 2003 National Junior Team Selection Camp will be held at the Metro Centre in Halifax from December 11 until December 16. The two last All-Star game goaltenders, Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers (Chicoutimi) and Marc-André Fleury (Cape Breton) will be there as well as forwards Pierre-Marc Bouchard (Chicoutimi), Jonathan Ferland (Bathurst), Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau (Chicoutimi) and defensemen Maxime Fortunus (Baie-Comeau), Aaron Johnson (Rimouski), Alexandre Rouleau (Val-d’Or). The final roster will be unveiled on December 16.

First inter-leagues’ game this Sunday

QMJHL – The first inter-leagues game of 4 will be presented this Sunday, December 8 at 6:30pm in Ottawa. The Ottawa 67’s will host the Hull Olympiques and the game will be broadcasted on RDS and Rogers Sportsnet. These 2 teams are big rivals and last season they each won 1 game before their fans. The second game between these two teams will be held in Hull on Sunday, December 15. The other inter-leagues games will be presented after Christmas Time while the Belleville Bulls and the Victoriaville Tigres will play against each other. The first game will be on Wednesday, January 8 in Belleville and the second one will be in Victoriaville on Sunday, February 23. Last season, the OHL won 5 of the 8 games.

QMJHL –On Wednesday, November 6, the Québec Remparts were supposed to play against the Moncton Wildcats but the game was reported because of the show of Peter Gabriel at the Colisée. The two teams will play this game tonight at the Colisée Pepsi at 7:30pm.
