Cats blank Montreal
A first period power play goal by Ted Stephens, his sixth of the season, was all the offense the Moncton Wildcats needed to defeat the Montreal Junior 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. The game winning counter came at 5:22 with Daniel Petterson and Matthew Bissonnette drawing the assist.

Neither team managed to score in the remaining 40 minutes. The game marked the eighth win for Moncton this season; they remain the only team in the QMJHL unbeaten in regulation time.

Both goaltenders, Jean-Francois Berube of Montreal and Nicola Riopel of the Wildcats made good saves when called. Berbube stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced while Riople was faultless handled 29 from Montreal. On the power play, the Wildcats penalty kill was 100% not giving up a goal on six calls. Moncton was 1-5 with the man advantage.

The Wildcats start at three game road on Wednesday night when they play the Acadie-Bathurst Titan at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre.
