GAME RECAP: Titan and Drakkar battle in OT thriller
The Acadie-Bathurst Titan was edged out of a win Monday night after a hard-fought high-scoring battle that led to an overtime thriller against Baie-Comeau. The Drakkar netted the winning goal midway through OT to take a stronghold on the second round. Baie-Comeau is now 3-0 over Bathurst in the best-of-seven series.
Robert Orr, Dylan Andrews, Dawson Sharkey, Milo Roelens and Emile Perron netted goals for the Titan. Raoul Boilard had a pair of goals, Niks Fenenko, Justin Gill, Justin Poirier, Donovan Arsenault scored for Baie-Comeau.
Bathurst scored three goals in the first period and two in the final frame Tuesday night. Baie-Comeau had two points in the first, two in the second, one in the third and the OT winner.
Matyas Melovsky had four points and was named the second Star of the Game, and Boilard was named the first Star for his pair of goals. Titan defenceman Emile Perron was named the third Star for his goal and two assists.
The puck will drop on Game 4, tomorrow, Wednesday, April 17 at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre.
