Game Preview: Moose vs Remparts Saturday

What a game. Alex Grenier’s OT winner, his 2nd goal of the game, sent the 6,003 fans home buzzing Saturday night at the Metro Centre.
In a game filled with high-end NHL prospects, no one left downtown disappointed. Anthony Duclair, one of the 16yr old stars fans came to watch, was arguably the Remparts best player and opened the scoring early to give Quebec a 1-0 lead. The Mooseheads would tie it later in the 1st period on a beautiful individual effort by Luca Ciampini to set up Nathan Mackinnon. Mackinnon would add three assists, for his 3rd 4pt game this season. Rookie Zach Fucale was solid in goal all night making 26 saves to improve to 4-1 on the season. It was a game that had a little bit of everything as the Mooseheads faithful in attendance showed their displeasure consistently at the boys in stripes and also with Remparts coach Patrick Roy.
The win move the heard to 9-5 on the season. They’ll now head out on a 3 game road trip through Northern Quebec with stops in Blainville-Boisbriand Wednesday, and Val-‘Or Friday and Saturday.
