The Halifax Mooseheads took a 2-0 stranglehold on their first round series with the Moncton Wildcats Saturday night at the Metro Centre.
Just under 7,900 fans cheered on the Moose to a rough and chippy 4-1 victory. Marty Frk and Alex Grenier got the building rocking with 2 goals in the first minute of the game that sent the Moose faithful into a frenzy. Nathan MacKinnon and Cameron Critchlow would add singles to lead the Moose to a 2-0 lead heading into a hostile territory Monday night for Game 3. Game 4 will go Tuesday. Zach Fucale was named the game’s first star making 28 saves for his 2nd playoff win.
