DND APPRECIATION NIGHT TONIGHT!
The Halifax Mooseheads have announced details of their 11th Annual DND Appreciation Night, taking place Tonight at 7pm as the Herd entertains the Saint John Sea Dogs at Scotiabank Centre.
This marks the seventh year the Mooseheads will wear specially designed jerseys for the game. This year the Hockey Club will honour the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Submarine Force. Twenty of these commemorative jerseys will be raffled-off during the game, while an online auction will be held for three more at a later date. Details regarding the online auction will be announced shortly.
All proceeds raised from these jerseys go directly to the QEll Foundation – Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Garden. To date, the Mooseheads DND Appreciation games have raised close to $81,000 to help better the lives of our Veterans at Camp Hill.
Close to 1,000 members of our Canadian Force are expected to be at the game. DND members and their families will again receive an exclusive discounted ticket price to this game which can be purchased at the PSP Information Kiosk located at Stadplex Gymnasium Stadacona. A Canadian Forces Flag party will be on hand to march out Canadian Forces dignitaries for a special pre-game puck drop and moment of silence. The Stadacona Band will perform the National Anthem.
The Mooseheads will be trying for the teams’ first three game winning streak of the season as they battle the Maritimes Division leading Sea Dogs.
