NHL Central Scouting has eyes on the Moose

NHL Central Scouting has released their preliminary list of Players to Watch for the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and it includes three members of the Halifax Mooseheads.
Forward Zachary L’Heureux has been given an ‘A’ rating which indicates a 1st Round candidate, defenceman Cam Whynot has a ‘B’ rating as a 2nd/3rd Round candidate and Attilio Biasca has a ‘C’ rating as a 45th/5th/6th Round candidate.
L’Heureux has scored five goals and added five assists in eight games played with the Mooseheads. The 17-year-old from Mercier, QC was acquired by Halifax in June after an impressive rookie season with the Moncton Wildcats where he had 53 points and scored 20 goals.

Whynot is also in his second QMJHL season after joining the Mooseheads in the summer of 2019 in a trade that sent Xavier Parent to Sherbrooke for the recently drafted defenceman. The skilled blue-liner from Kentville, NS has shown flashes of his talent at both ends of the ice and has two points so far this season.
Biasca was drafted by the Mooseheads in June’s CHL Import Draft but hasn’t been able to join the team due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. The Swiss forward is currently playing in his hometown of Zug where he has 11 points in 10 games with the U20-Elit program.
