Hello Local Business,
In the spring of 1997, it was announced the Granby Prédateurs would be relocating to Sydney, Nova Scotia and become the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. In the summer of 2019 the team was rebranded as the Cape Breton Eagles, and this year the team is excited to celebrate 25 years of Cape Breton hockey in the Québec Major Junior Hockey League.
Since 1997 this team has been an integral part of the community, hosting live hockey events in downtown Sydney at Centre 200 for its entire existence. However, this team relies on the community too. Without the support of residents, the Cape Breton Regional Municipality, and local businesses, this team would not be here to celebrate its 25 year anniversary today.
In the 2020-21 Season the number of Season Ticket Holders had unfortunately reduced from previous years. There were new rules within the building such as social distancing, assigned entrances/exits, and mandatory mask-wearing, that all drastically changed the experience of watching an Eagles game at Centre 200. However, the Eagles remain hopeful that everyone who wants to come to a game during our 25th Anniversary Season in 2021-22 will be able to do so without having to worry about these regulations.
As a way to say “Thank You” for all the support over the last 25 years, the Eagles are thinking #CapeBretonFirst and are aiming to #StepUpForLocalCB by partnering with local businesses to provide exclusive offerings to our Season Ticket Holders that will get them spending money in our community, especially with the difficult impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on all of us. Any business that contributes will receive a mention on the Eagles social media platforms and one in-game read & jumbotron graphic during the season (valued at $1000).
We are hopeful that you will join our team in this endeavor. The choice is yours; offer anything you like – anything that will help bring our Season Ticket Holders through your doors or to your online marketplace. To participate we ask that you fill out the attached online form in full. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our program lead.
