Cape Breton Eagles Major Junior Hockey Club 50/50 Raffle HOUSE RULES
Draw Location: • 481 George Street, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Centre 200
Prize Redemption Location: • Top of section 4, Centre 200.
Draw Procedures:
Purchases can be made either online at eagles5050.ca or at Centre 200 during games.
The winning number will be determined using a random number generator.
The winning number is drawn at the start of the 3rd period.
Draw Restrictions & Guidelines:
• Tickets cannot be purchased by the staff member(s) responsible for conducting the ticket draw of any given game.
• No minimum number of tickets sold is required prior to the draw being conducted, tickets will be sold for the duration of the game until the specified draw time.
• No draw extensions will be granted.
• The winning number will be announced a minimum of (3) times.
• Patrons should retain their ticket until a winner is identified.
- If the winner purchased online and was not in the arena, they would be contacted via telephone and asked to pick up the cheque from the Cape Breton Eagles business office.
• If a winner is not found during the event, the winning ticket number to claim that cash prize will be posted for a period of 90 calendar days on the Cape Breton Eagles Website
• If a winner for a cash prize does not come forward after the 90-calendar day period, a second draw will be made and process repeated.
• If after three attempts a winner does not come forward, AGFT will provide further direction.
• One (1) cash prize of 50% ticket sales will be awarded for any given game to the person in possession of the winning ticket number.
• Remaining portion of the prize will be awarded to the Greg Lynch Memorial Education Fund and tickets for underprivileged children.
50/50 Informative
Having our 50/50 raffle available online will be beneficial for Eagles fans and our organization in many ways. For example, it will prevent long waiting lines at Centre 200 during game time and it will also increase each game’s jackpot prize due to the increased number of fans with access to purchase tickets.
In order for our raffle to go online we must abide by new Nova Scotia lottery restrictions that require ticket buyers to submit personal information when purchasing tickets online and in person.
The benefit of buying tickets online means that you will only have to submit personal information onceto create your account and then you are good for the season.
Due to this, we strongly encourage fans to purchase their 50/50 tickets online if they are able to for their convenience and ours.
Other team’s in the QMJHL have decided to remove in-person 50/50 purchasing this season, however we understand the importance of making ticket purchasing accessible to all fans who may prefer to still purchase in person.
