SCREAMING EAGLES WELCOME NEW GM – BUSINESS OPERATIONS
SYDNEY, NS – The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles are excited to the announce that a candidate has been selected for the role of General Manager, Business Operations. Courtney Schriver-Richard, who has most recently held a senior marketing position with Boston Pizza International will begin her new role with the organization in early May 2019.
“Hockey has been a pivotal part of my life since the age of five—from playing in backyard rinks to alongside the Saint Mary’s University Women’s Hockey Team. This sport has shaped who I am today, like it has for many Cape Bretoners,” says Shriver-Richard. “The opportunity to join the Eagles organization allows me to combine my passion with my career. I look forward to
applying my vast marketing background to expand on the many partnerships already formed in the community, create memorable fan experiences and grow the business lines. Exciting times are ahead for both the fans and the community!”
Shriver-Richard will replace Peter MacDonald, who has held the position since June 2012. MacDonald is starting a new chapter in his career with another local business in April 2019.

enthusiasm are what we need to keep moving forward.”
The role of General Manager – Business Operations is to oversee the strategic direction of the organization, including marketing, partnerships, sponsorships, sales and financial management. Shriver-Richards most recently was a Senior Marketing Manager with Boston Pizza International. As part of this role, she managed partnerships and promotions with the NHL. Prior to working with Boston Pizza International, Shriver-Richard was a Regional Marketing Manager with Tim Hortons.
