Q & A with Alexandre Lavoie:
Q1: Tell us about your Minor Hockey career.
A1: First I played my minor hockey in Montréal in a region called Bourassa. I Always played in the best category being a kid.
Q2: Where did you play your Midget hockey?
A2: I played Midget Espoir with the Bourrasa region. After I played a half of season in junior I got sent down to play with the Rousseau sports Laval Bourassa in the Midget ‘AAA’ league . From their we won the Jimmy Ferrari Cup and I got the M.V.P. award for the tournament, we later played in the Canadian championship in Winnipeg and finished in third place.
Q3: You were selected by the Chicoutimi Saguenéens at the 2008 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League entry draft. Tell us about your time in Chicoutimi as well as your draft year.
A3: It was a great experience for me to play in Chicoutimi. I played there for four seasons and I have great memories from my time there.
Q4: You were traded to the Screaming Eagles on December 28th. Were you pleased with being traded to the Screaming Eagles? Why?
A4: I new that the club was interested in me but it was still a bit shocked. I was happy because I new I was going to play more.
Q5: What’s one think you like about the fans of Cape Breton?
A5: From the time I played my first game in Cape Breton I really like the fans. They are really nice people and really cheer for their team.
Q6: Tell us some interesting facts about your family.
A6: I have one Brother and one sister who’s names are Ariane and Simon. I also have one step brother and one step sister, Dominic and Alexia . My father’s name is Berthol and my mother name is Christine.
Q7: Who is the one person you would like to thank for getting you where you are today with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles? Why?
A7: I would like to thank Pierre Roux who gave me a chance to play for the Screaming Eagles.
Q8: If hockey does not work out, what are your plans for the future?
A8: I do not know yet. I’m interested in going to university with my girlfriend but I am not sure yet.
Q9: What’s one thing you like about Cape Breton?
A9: The people are really nice and they always smiling.
