TORONTO (November 2, 2017) Shining the spotlight on hockey’s future stars, Sportsnet is set to deliver exclusive national coverage of the 2017-18 Canadian Hockey League season, beginning Monday, Nov. 6. In addition to weekly CHL Saturday Showcase broadcasts from across the league, CHL coverage on Sportsnet features three marquee events – the 2017 CIBC Canada Russia Series, the 2018 Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game, and the 2018 Mastercard Memorial Cup.
Exclusive English-language Canadian coverage of the CHL kicks off on Sportsnet this coming Monday when the Canadian World Junior hopefuls of the Western Hockey League host Team Russia in the first game of the 2017 CIBC Canada Russia Series. Coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Sportsnet East, Sportsnet West, Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet NOW.
Following the six-game series, Sportsnet’s weekly CHL Saturday Showcase afternoon broadcasts deliver coverage of must-see action from across the Ontario Hockey League, the Western Hockey League and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League throughout the regular season. (Full broadcast details below).
